Oceanus~The Ocean Therapy Institute was created in 2006 to share the healing properties of the ocean with others.The creator, Sharon Howerton began her love of the ocean as a child and as an adult recognizes the healing balance it brings to people world wide. She began her study of massage and bodywork modalities in the 1994 and has studied modalities including polarity therapy, cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release and quantum touch and Reiki. In 2006, after a automobile accident, she sought the most innovative treatments for her recovery. She chose cranial sacral therapy at the world reknown Upledger Clinic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Dolphin Assisted Therapy in Freeport, Bahamas as well as swimming with wild dolphins in Bimini, Bahamas. After her recovery, she chose to bring these healing modalities back home to the spas. She has a personal commitment to share this healing with others through workshops blending the elements of the ocean with bodywork modalities. |
